CONTEMPORARY ARTIST & FOUNDER OF “BRAZEN WOLF,” REPRESENTED BY WINN SLAVIN FINE ART

Your most important piece of advice: A friend told me once to “Sit in the truth.” That stuck with me because I am constantly trying to discover who I am as an individual and what I’m capable of. My aim in this has shown me infinite experiences of freedom. No matter what I’m going through, this advice is always in my heart.

How do you choose the subjects for your paintings, and what role do they play in portraying female strength? In my art, I often depict pop culture icons who have endured life's trials, resonating with the universal human experience. As a woman and an artist, I find empowerment in bringing these stories to life, transforming struggle into hope through vivid colors and bold brush strokes. I seek to push the boundaries of color. My work, particularly in female portraiture, is a personal expression of the female journey, aiming to inspire and connect with viewers. I believe life is a continuous journey of growth, offering endless possibilities for joy and freedom.

Are there any new themes or techniques you are exploring or plan to explore in your upcoming projects? I'm currently collaborating with the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills to create a music￾themed art collection honoring jazz legends. My lifelong passion for music deeply influences my painting style, with each stroke on canvas inspired by musical rhythms and colors I visualize when hearing music. This project, blending my background as a classically trained pianist and my love for art, is a perfect alignment of my interests and skills.

FOUNDER OF TRUGLO MODERN DENTAL

Your most important piece of advice: "Unleash your passions; let them chart your course, unbridled and fearless." This phrase reminds me daily that our passions are the winds that propel the sails of our purpose. It inspired the birth of TruGLO Modern Dental.

Action or decision you’re most proud of: Selecting the most luminous gem from a treasury of achievements is daunting, yet standing tall is the inception of TruGLO Modern Dental. This venture is not merely a brand; it is a symphony of state-of-the-art dental craftsmanship harmonized with the warmth and care I envisioned in my practice. It stands as a testament to innovation and empathy, a pioneering force in the world of dentistry.

Greatest role models: My mother and, unequivocally, my husband, Christopher. They stand as firmly rooted as the ancient Mesopotamian trees of my heritage, embodying relentless work ethic, boundless love, and the extraordinary capability to balance multifaceted roles while remaining unwavering in their convictions. They are a source of constant awe and inspiration.

ACS SECURITY CUSTOM HOMES REP

Your most important piece of advice: If you do the right thing, you will never regret your decisions.

Action or decision you’re most proud of: In my personal life, marrying my soul mate and having our daughter. Two incredible blessings that encompass my heart. In my work life, making the decision to work in the security industry. I love helping people and bringing peace of mind. I am so proud to work with a company that truly cares about its clients, is innovative in its thinking, and is always evolving to the highest level of protection.

Childhood dream: I began dancing when I was 3 years old. My dream was to be a Triple Threat (Dance, Act, and Sing). I loved the stage and performing. I trained with the best and my dream became my career. When you really want something, you must work hard at it. Dedicate every moment to perfecting your craft. When you become passionate about something, the only one that can get in your way is yourself.

Susie Albin-Najera

DIRECTOR OF LEISURE TRAVEL @ LOS CABOS TOURISM BOARD

Your top advice for aspiring women? My advice for women in any stage of their career is to be curious, ask questions, find answers, be tenacious and hungry to learn and listen. Don’t pay attention to the negative voices outside or inside and keep going. Doors open all the time, but if they not opening, then open them yourself. Don’t be afraid to use your voice.

What's your guiding motto for success in your career and life? You really have to create your path that you want to lead. If something’s not right, step in a new direction. If you’re dreaming about something or a career move or a passion project, do it. I guarantee you will find a way to do it. Life is short.

Share a moment when you discovered your inner strength. Lately I’ve been refocusing on my health and what I eat. I’ve been eating more natural foods and that’s making a difference in how I sleep and how I feel. I’ve been learning that I can really focus on it with inner strength
